WTB Seat Belt buckles for '84 GN

Hey guys! I'm on the hunt for some GN parts and thought u could help. It's a '84 GN. Previous owner replaced the carpet and didn't reinstall the front seat belt buckles in the floor, nor did he include them with the car. The owner bought a set off eBay that were supposed to be correct, but they don't fit the metal end on the belt. Anyone have a pair of the front seat belt buckles for sale?

Are you looking for these ? If so these are in very nice shape and out of a low mile 84-GN I parted out years ago.

Still looking for a mint pair of buckles. I bought the ones above, but unfortunately one was gray and one was brown and they both had tan sleeves. Obviously looking for gray GN buckles.

that is normal to see those with different color webbing. I have a pair or two as well with different colors with sand grey sleeves.

Toby. here's one of the reply's I got back from Matt.

The interior is a medium gray. The buckles you sent me had covers that were a cream color, almost like a very dirty white. I showed them to my coworker who has owned and built several GN's and he immediately said they are not GN buckles. These are for my girlfriends fathers car. The previous owner replaced the carpet and forgot reinstall/include the buckles with the sale. The seat belt retractors are a silver/gray and did not match the buckles you sent.

Now him saying the interior is medium gray, I haven't got a clue what he really has and as far as his co worker that has owned and built several GN's I'd like to say I have been at this Buick game for 25 years and those female ends came out of a 84 GN that was actually a one owner car and I knew the people that bought it new right here in Spokane from Becker Buick and Iv'e also parted out several (like 11) of these cars and have seen my share of 84 GN's and they all have had what they call sand gray interiors which is actually a dirty light tan. Iv'e also restored , fixed and worked on my share of these things and Iv'e also seen the two colors of fabric in other seat belts. Matt ask your co worker what color a 84 GN should have ? Rather than get in a big pissing match over this I just told him to send them back and I'd give him a complete refund. I'm not saying he's wrong but from all my experiences all Iv'e ever seen in a 84-GN is the sand gray.

too. I wonder if the carpet was wrong, or it was a ttype or changed out somehow.

Hey very nice Toby !! Yup that's the color of the 84 GN's interior. I have a friend here with a 84 T-type and it also has the sand gray interior in it just regular seats though but now has the Lier seats out of the 84'GN I parted out. Matt if your keeping up with these post take a look at his female buckles, they are just like what I sent you. I really think Matt's car has had some things changed on it or ?? Not trying to be a smart ass here Toby but I also noted the bottom of your console is the dark gray and should be the sand gray like this pic. I wish Matt would post up some good pics. of his interior. Maybe we could could get him fixed up. Thanks for posting the pics. Toby and may I ask who's seat covers are they? Thanks Mike

The sleeves on a GN female buckle were black. Turbo-T's were all gray.

Hey guys. Sorry I wasn't getting notifications.

That's the only pic of the car on my phone. I have a picture of the registration card and it is an 84. The wheels look to be from an 86, don't they?

I'm not a GN guy, so I don't know what years had what color interiors. The dash, seats, and carpet appear to be gray. I haven't seen this car in a month so now my memory is foggy. I know the carpet was replaced and the buckles were never reinstalled or sold with the car from the previous owner.

Sorry for any confusion here, just trying to help out my girlfriends dad to get his car driving safely.

Matt, from what I can see of the interior, it sure looks like the 84 GN sand gray and the buckles I sent you are correct for that car. Yes those wheels are 86-87 GN wheels. The dash ,steering wheel, ect.in 84 GN's was a darker gray than the 85 to 87's. It's a slate gray were as the 85 to 87's was a lighter gray called medium dark gray. Here's a pic. of the 85 to 87 GN front seat belts and some 84 rear seat belts. Those rear belts are out of the same 84 GN that I sent you the front females.

Well I feel like a fool now. My coworker told me 100% for sure they were wrong. He has owned a few GNs, so I believed him. Want to sell them back to me? Even if there is an issue with the color, I can always dye the covers I guess.
