Sorry just venting with the disgusting outcome to a tragic situation in Sarasota CO FL.. Carlie Brusha was 11.. What did she do to deserve this. Why do we as a society allow things like this to happen and why was this monster back on the street! I will tell you things like this and seeing the "other" side especially dealing with crimes against children are just so disheartening and cold blooded. Now being a parent of a 6 and 8 yr old, I have nothing but sadness now. My hearts and prayers go out the the family.

For those of you who think that they have no worry's or live in the ignorance that these type of things "cannot happen" just revisit the msnbc video and see the chain of events that led to the last hours of this child's tragic end by the hand of this.........................OH I DONT KNOW WHAT TO CALL HIM! This should be a reality check to those of you out there and realize that people like this are out there, being anywhere doing any job, probably someone you know.

For the parents (I am one) -- Protect, and preserve your child, cheerish them every day because they are truly gifts and we cannot be there all of the time...

For the pedophiles, child killers, and all other ********* (censored) out there....(Again venting not directed at anyone)

Myself and fellow colleagues will catch you, and once the CJ system gets you, its over!!! You will get caught, you will be tried and punished in this life and the next!!

All I can say is hats off to the law enforcement professionals who help keep these people off of the streets. It's your work that has helped some unnamed couple avoid the loss of having this same man harm their child in the future.

My wife prosecutes cases involving crimes against children on a daily basis and it is truly amazing how many horrible things are done to children every day.

I'm also a father and I can only imagine what it will fill like loosing one of my boys! Once again a criminal was let loose and who pays for it? The family of the child that was murdered! Sick M/F and who knows what else that was done to her before he killed her.

When is the justice system going to wake up, when are they going to realize a sexual predator can not be rehabiliated/ murderer at that, and be released back into society?

This **** will never end! This is the reason I didn't become a police officer, because I would probably put a bullet in his head if it was my child and do my seld and the world a favor.

My heart goes out to the family of that child, this is truly a sad day

Amen, I hear you! I think any adult that commits a crime against a child should be punished to the absolute maximum.
This just follows suit with my "post battle" about the Janet incident, moral breakdown of people in the world. Not to be on a religious kick, but there is a war going on, and it does not have anything to do with Iraq.........

My thoughts and prayers also go out to that family...I could not imagine the loss of one of my daughters...that would be a test of faith I would not want to have to go thru because I know I'd fail.

If its any consolation to you guys

A guy I met who happened to be a corrections officer in one of the max security prisons here in Jersey told me what goes on.
He said the common criminals are usually left alone.
The ones that committed some sort of sex offense are shown no mercy by those on the inside. Trust me, that guy will be having Bubba show him the ways of forced love making.

Very very true.. Look at Dahmer, the Catholic Priest, both killed in prison.. Disclaimer - I do not sanction that activity but when in General population, allot of the felons, and folks on death row don't tolerate, allow or any other type of that person.. I think his time is limited.

Not too long ago here in the wonderful state of Mass. (sarcastic), they released a level 3 sex offender from Bridgewater house of corrrection. He had served several years for some horrible crimes against children. When he got out, he moved tom Utah with family and a week later was convicted of raping and killing a young child......... I mean WTF! C'mon now... we need to keep these people locked up. There is no rehabilitation of sex offenders! They need to be locked up or executed. Needless to say, Utah isn't too friendly with Massachusetts anymore

This whole thing is just sad. I feel really bad for this family and those lives this has personally touched. The really sad part is it happens all the time. When I was in 4th grade I was walking home from a store with a friend of mine and a guy grabbed me and said he had a gun. I was scared and my friend ran away. He pulled me into some bushes and I think God intervened somehow because I started screaming and he let me go. I think I could have outrun Carl Lewis that night.

I think it's important that we teach our children no to give in, but to fight to death if something like this happens to them. It's better to be killed on the spot than to be raped, beaten, and then killed.

I agree with you. Stories like this really catch my interest, and then when I get on aol this morning and see they found the body dead after about 5 days, my stomach nearly dropped in sickness. I don't understand what could posess someone to do such a thing. I must say, that lately with things happening around my neighborhood (6 break ins in the past month on my street), you feel like you have to watch your back 24-7. I tell you this, I trust no one, and thats the safest policy you can have.

I have an 11 yr old daughter and feel so sorry for this family.I can not begin to imagine their grief.May God bless them.This sick S.O.B.will get his no doubt,but it will be nothing compared to the fear and terror that little girl went thru. He should be teased with death over and over before he is actually executed,strap him down over and over and never let him know when the real sentence will be carried out.The anticipation of death is sometimes worse than death itself.May God have mercy on him because I wouldn't!!!If the father was to blow his brains out I would hope he would get off on a technicality.

Justice system

I feel the problem lies in our court systems, why was this jerk out after so many felonies? My opinion,...... incompetent Judges.
the last judge to sentance him was on TV saying "its not my fault", WELL.... if you had locked him up, then he wouldn't have been out to commit another crime! so who can we turn to!?
I do not advocate vigilante justice, but I feel we need stronger
Judges, one who is not afraid to fill up the jails, and prisions.
I've been in law enforcement, I applaud the men who risk their lives daily.
OK, enough.
My deepest sympathy to the parents of that poor young lady,
Know that she is in the hands of god, away from the evils that prey here.

I told my childern that if they were ever in a position they felt they were going to be raped, etc to fight back with a vengance......show no mercy...push their eyes in with their thumbs, bite their nose, ear, off.......The attacker will let go and hopefully the child can flee to safety or at least, bring attention to the situation from passerbys who can help.........

When a religious group, governing group (MASS supreme court)
condone and legislate same sex marriages, give the Queers anything they ask for, allow child molesters to roam among us, I feel, we as a society must point the finger of blame at ourselves.

It is truly sad, SAD when a child is abducted and brutally murdered as the little girl was yesterday (Saturday). I am ashamed to say that it will be old news in a couple of days because we have become calloused(sp) to the s__t we are exposed to daily..............

When will they finally realize that monsters like this belong in prison for the rest of thier lives!!! Not getting off on parole and probation, and loopholes. Here in MA this guy who was found guilty of brutaly killing three people might be hung in NH. I don't think there has been a hanging in New England since the 30's or 40's. I think its a good idea as opposed to lethal injection, i think the families would get more closure out of seeing him hang.
