Am fitting up the dr side cross over pipe, and trying to use the truck alt/ps mount.
With the truck manifolds flipped side to side, there's a serious space issue, in that the pipe has to go very close to the block, in order to clear the steer gear. The pressure port is also a concern w/ the pipe in that close.
This forces the bends to be very tite, too many weld joints, and the manifold to be cut at a severe angle...
I am looking @ several options:
A. Use the Vette accessory mount. [The issue gets some relief, but still requires serious cutting on the manifold, and added expense to convert the ft end drive.]
B. Since many, [most??] budget builds stick w/ the truck stuff, would a better solution be to use a flipped dr side manifold on the pass side, use a second dr side manifold, and run the cross over behind the engine, ala stocker Buick??
C. Build the system without consideration for p/s? IE: Cut the lower part of the brkt off.
D. Move the alt to the pass side, and put the p/s pump up higher. [LOTS of work!]:(
E. Say forget it, and buy a CTSV???

NE/ALL comments are welcome :D
