I plan to add either alchohol or propane injection as a form of knock insurance/air charge cooler when racing w/ 116 + high boost with my new engine/combination.

Over the summer and early fall, I had been running a Xylene/93 mix (3 gal 93 to 1 Xylene +2 oz MM oil) on the street, which provided a safe 2 to 3 # increase over straight 93.

Has anyone with an alchohol or propane kit tried running it in conjunction with Xylene/unleaded? If so, with what results?

Thanks

yes it works.
using the 3-1 xylene mix and alky injection I was able to run 30# of boost with no knock using reds 100 octane chip. also a tip on what kind of alky to use. Go to your local hobby shop and buy a gallon of the RC 20% Nitromethane/methanol blend. That $hit ROCKS!! it already comes blended with top cylinder lubricant so you wont have to mix and match your alky fuel.

My local Hobby Shop sells it for $20-$25 a gal. Which lasts a decent amount of time. depending on how much you like to put your foot into it!Another Trick idea is to run a wire from the pumps positive post into the dash and hook it up to the Power Injection light the Factory installed, when the pump comes on so does the light very Trick!!
quick,it wont harm the lines or pump any more than regular alky does.If you bought an alky kit then you will be safe to use this stuff. It is definately worth a try at least once. I picked up more power using it over just alky alone.

When I was using the alky kit the car was mostly stock.I mean the motor only had 30000 original miles. I had installed 009 injectors,CAS V2,LTE45a,ATR headers,Houston 3" DP,Walbro pump&hotwire kit,Art Carr shift kit,BFG 275/50DRs,JayCarter alky kit,Hemco upper&70mmTB,reds 100chip.Thats all! motor was intenally 100%stock. Best time was 11.53@124 w/t a 1.9 60ft, 1/8mi was 7.57@99. I think these MPH show the power that the stock motor was clearly making. I was using 93+xylene blend too running 30# boost . the engine never blew a head gasket.

Frank--Thanks for the combo info. and you are right about the mph. You had a very strong running car. Was that with a stock converter with the LTE45?

oops, Forgot the converter. was using a PI 9.5 vigelante lock up,but did not lock it up during the runs.
