OK so here is an update on the motor........I started getting a rattle at idle so drooped the oil pan to have a look.Well the Main and Rod bearings are SHOT. The machinist that did all the work.$5400 worth is not going to warranty anything said that it was all my fault.....I paid him to check all clearances and I assembled it.This not my first motor I have ever built but I know the clearances are very tight and I wanted it to be right so I paid him for them to be.SOOOOO I contacted my gun smith in Utah and going to send him my motor and trading out the work for my Sniper Rifle.Brad use to Build Pro Mods Motors for the Aussies...He is Basically going to totally rebuild the hole motor rings, bearings, crank what ever it needs to be right and it will be right.........I really got taken by the guy in GA.To boot it took him almost 5 months and I had to put it together So do not send your stuff to Green Flag Performance in valdosta Ga.

That sucks man, sorry to hear that. Years ago I lived in Valdosta and I never heard anything good about Green Flag...apparently some things haven't changed.

Sorry to hear. That sux. Ur in FL yes? Don Cruz is there. Why not use him?

Sorry to hear you about your motor. I'm currently going through the same thing with my motor. Basically I had the motor built about three years ago as a back up and set-up with ported polished heads, roller cam and freshened up. So any how I decided to put this motor in my car a year ago this month. Boy was I in for a learning experiance. Prior to me bringing my motor to be built I told the builder I was tired of popping headgaskets, so he recommend receiving grooves cut both in block and heads w/ copper gaskets/lockring setup. So that's the rought I took. So now the motor has been in for a while loosing coolent through the exhaust and about 5lbs of oil pressure. About two months ago I had the front timing cover change with new oil pump. That issue solved, now coolant is the problem. So I give me builder a call give him the whole story and he tells me to try three differnt things to see what causing coolent lose. Also during this time I've got a major oil leak and so I changed my main seal. Once that job is completed I start my car up and I'm underneath it looking for oil leak from my seal change job and came across my copper gaskets leaking at idel. So I took a video of this and sent YouTube link to my builder. He told me yank it out and get it back to him and he'd make it right. Now the motor is out and I'll be bringing it to him this week. To be honest I wasn't expecting him to stand by it due to the amount of time that it's been, but I told him that it's got less than 3000 miles on it and not ran hard AT ALL and it sounds as though he is gonna stand by it. We'll see? If he does make it right with out it costing me much more then gaskets and that sort of stuff. I'll give him much praise! Good luck with your project!

This is what scares a LOT of people away from heavily modded engines.

If you arent doing your own work, you deal with a LOT of headaches and a LOT of lost money.

Over the years you may find an "engine guy" that does you right ... STICK WITH HIM, lol ---
