that one of my young Marines just called are Turbo Buick a Monte Carlo. What worse he insist that they look alike, and their is no diffrence with an actual Monte Carlo.

He's only 18, so be gentle with him as he's standing right here next to me waiting for replies:D

I tried to explain to him, but he's just to hard headed.

Can't you make him do pushups or something for that? :D Tell him all the Monte Carlo drivers join the Army. :p

Ohhhhh! He's really asking for it now. I just showed him a picture of an 1987 Monte Carlo and I just about puked all over my self. But, he still insist they are the same car:mad: I'm fixin to haze him now;)

A Monte Carlo is what your grand mother drives, a GN is what your grandpa wanted to get instead of the Monte Carlo. The Monte is a slug under the best of circumstances, and the GN will snap you neck in a second, especially if you continue to call it a freaking Monte Carlo.

We will go easy on you son, because we respect the military around here and honor you guys for making the most serious of commitments anyone will ever make. Semper Fi, and learn the difference, you will enjoy the differences if you ever get the chance to ride in one.

He is right in that they are both G bodies and share many undercar parts, but it all stops there. Arrange a ride in a GN for this kid. The reality is what is needed here. Kind of like taking live fire verses war games.

Tell that devil dog to come down here to mals PC and ask for me, Sgt Morales

Ill straighten him out SSgt :) hehe

BTW i have the alcohol flowing on the buick now, the street chip has way low timing though so its not running up to full potential but ive started messing with that, Ill take you for a spin once I crank up the timing and make some fuel adjustments.
guaranteed ass crappage to ensue

What's the difference between thr Marines and the Navy? Aren't they the same.

Now that should put it in perspective.

Ha! Ha!:D Yeah but without the Navy we would cease to exsist, no more striking from the sea.

Anyway, I'm making some progress with the youngster and your replies are helping. Keep sending'em:cool:

One way or the other, he will learn.

If he doesn't! I will put the slicks on, put some C116 and go lift the front wheels off the ground. If this doesn't work, he'll be in the push up position until I get tired;)

the best way i try to explain this to others is

are a trans am (firebird) and a camaro the SAME? most people would say no....."there ya have it"

or you can call them "brothers" as apposed to "twins" look similar but definately not the same....

A: Because sheep would be to obvious.

OK, here is one in your favor.

Q: Are the Marines a "Department of the Navy?

A: Yes, it's called the Mens Department.
