1-5/8 RJC Puck Stock Style Wastegate

Anyone using this puck? I ordered one the other day. I have a TH 3-1/2 down pipe with a stock style waste gate.
Turbo is a Turbonetics 66 S trim. I know I will have to grind on the down pipe to get it to work. My question is how large can I go on the exhaust housing hole? I don't want to go to big. RJC said you can go to big.

Chris,

I wouldn't alter the size of the exhaust housing wastage hole until you radiused (smoothed out) the inside edges of the hole in the exhaust housing first.

Try that, then give it a go and see how it performs. If you go too large on the hole, you may have difficulties in running high boost, then you'll either be looking for a new exhaust housing or block off plate to fix the problem.

Suggest you contact Bison and discuss your turbo size, and other pertinent details of your engine and your performance expectations.
