did any anyone change to a differnt oil dipstick and tube when they changed blocks and what about the oil pan. ....

My 85 hot air had a 20 bolt block so it is the same pan as the 109. Dipstick was different, but I don't remember why..... Same drivers side header...

I am running a 109 but did not change the dipstick and tube. I put in 6 quarts (HV pump) and call it good. It then tops the oil to the upper most crosshatch, and, monitor it from there.

I have a new turbo saver on so Im kind of lost on oil capacity I know you you add 1 to 1.5 more oil but my oil dipstick never seem to read right after the block change.. aI cheked part numbers on oil dipstick and tubes and I thought they were the same

Maybe just the tubes were diff... Or maybe who I got my parts from just wanted to sell me another $10 part.

I thought they only held 5 quarts with standerd oil filter. I have hv cover
but that should matter. I just seems funny the way it reads after the change

i have the larger filter , PF52 maybe? no oil cooler.. no turbo saver or anything.. 109 block.. hotair tube.. no big deal.

I run a turbo saver with the Wix 51049 filter and use 7 quarts in mine.

There is a difference in the length of the dip stick. I thought the hot air was longer??? We just switched to the 86 that came with the block.

There is a difference. The hot air is longer to clear the MAF duct. All of the tubes are interchangable. Just use the matching dipstick. The pan depths are the same between the 14 bolt and 20 bolt so it shouldn't matter what you use as long as it is a matching set.

anyone got both, that they could measure the lenth of the dipsticks
