Wondering if this would be possible with my combo.....12.50et
ADJ wastegate
Elec I/C Fan 650cfm, stock IC, no Dutt Neck
100# Valve Springs
Big Mouth Cold AIr
3" MAF and I/C up pipes
2.5 Hooker Cat back
Gutted Cat
110 Joe Lubrant Chip
ADJ Fuel Press Ref at 40#
50# Injectors
dual rear air bags@15#
pinion snubber
variable rate rear springs

waiting on the tires but have the wheels......
15x8 draglites, rear, with 275 60 BFG Drag Radials

The car dynoed 320rwhp and 412 rwtq before the vs upgrade
what do you think my best time COULD be, as I know I wouldnt get it due to lack of experience with launching

12.2's @ 110 with a 1.8 60 ft. run 110-112 octane gas and 20 psi of boost.

Lock the converter with a switch on the ALDL.

That's much more than I had and I went 12.6@105-106mph on 235/60-15 BFG DR's.
Should easily hit 12.5's.

Your combo is lacking one piece 3'' DOWNPIPE ...I think in all the bolt-ons part I purchased it's the one I saw the most gains, it just hit me like a slap in the face. It was just DAY and NIGHT.

good luck at the track ;)

I'll 2nd on the downpipe.

How much boost can you hold at the line?
That will make a BIG difference.

As long as the elbow is ported, the stock dowpipe won't keep you from achieving mid to low 12's @ 110 mph.

A 3" down pipe WILL make it easier, however.

I have been debating over the D/P myself. I want to get one but I need one that will work with the stock turbo and either a TA60 or TE60 as that is what I will be going to once I have all the other supporting parts on the car. I just dont want to have to buy it twice ;)

Buy a Terry Houston or Terry-style downpipe. These will fit both the stock turbo and many upgraded ones. I have the ATR terry-style downpipe and it easily fit my stock turbo, TE-60 and my TE-63-1.

Launching on low boost, 1 to 2 pounds, with basically the same set up, 12.8.

stock turbo, stock injectors, 340 fuel pump, adjustable reg and hotwire, Houston DP, drag radials. 12.19 ET

Get the downpipe first!

DAMN!!! That's basically what my car has except 36lb injectors and an RJC power plate. What chip and octane was that?

Thanks,

Steve.

I ran 12.26@110.5 with the same mods and a crappy 1.80 60 ft. Chip was a Thrasher 108 and boost was a little less than 20 psi.

If you have a stock exhaust, switching to a THDP with a dump will net the best bang for the buck. My car went from 12.70's@106 to 12.20's@110 going from a Stock DP/Crappy exhaust to a THDP/Dump.

MOST of the gain was bypassing the crappy exhaust but about .1 second and 1 to 2 mph was the DP.

Have not used a race chip yet, but how many tenth, with a similar setup as ws6formula50 would a race chip net over a thrasher 92 on pump gas. The best I have run on with similar combo is 13.0 @ 103 1.85 60ft and I am leaving on 5lbs of boost, Sunoco 94. I keep my boost set to around 17 due to boost spiking to 20 in first gear. I just got a JL 110 chip.

race chip, higher boost, higher timing, race gas will net at least a second over the stock setup

Yes a T92 is NOT a race chip. Switching to a T108 from a T92 usually netted 6 mph IN THE 1/8th MILE if the octane was there.

The T92 cuts timing way back in 3rd. You can crank the boost to compensate, but the stock turbo is not efficient over 21 psi so you can only crank it so far.

Switching to chip with more timing allows the turbo to operate in its sweet spot (18-20 psi)

110 Turbo Blue, Red's chip, 20psi boost.

With the right tune, a stock turbo, stock injector, and stock intercooler car can go 11.99.
