Does anyone know if the 13" Baer brakes will fit with the 16" American Racing GNX rims? I know that they will not fit the OEM GTA rims due to the inner lip hitting the caliper. The 13" and 12" kits are only $10 difference in price.

Bob just call him...it would be better to do that...then it won't take so long to get your answer......Rick is the guy that owns the White T that was in GM high tech in Nov. so he is a Buick guy too Boot!!!

Please let us know what he says. I am interested in the 13" kit also for the GN I'm starting to build up.

Front brakes are shot in that car. :(

Don't want to use larger than 16" rims either. :)

PS: See if he can do a group purchase. ;)

Talked to Rick this afternoon (well my buddy Joe did anyway) Rick is a great guy and was very helpful. I just downloaded the templates for each of the systems I am looking at and will know some answers tonight. I will keep you posted.

Ordered the brakes today. The 12" sport will fit with the American Racing GNX look alive rims. I ordered 1/4" spacers anyway just to be safe. The clearance limiting factors are the location of thecaliper with respest to the inside face of the rim. The 12" street set has a caliper offset from the hub of 0.08 inches whic the sport is 0.35 inches. It looks close but seems to have well in excess of the Baer recommended clearances. I also ordered a 13" track set as well for my buddy. I will try them both to see if the 13" clear but it appears to rub from the templates on their website.

Nothing like ordering $3K worth of brake parts!!!!!

BTW, thanks to Rick Elam he was super helpful and overall a class Buick guy. Thanks Rick.

I just ordered the 13" Baer Track System with the drilled, slotted and zinc washed rotors along with red painted calipers. I run Boyd Coddington 17" wheels with 255/45/17 Nittos Extremes with a 1/4" spacer so fitting them shouldn't be a problem. I got mine at www.tbyrnemotorsports.com E-mail him for pricing.

With two piece slotted, cross drilled and zinc washed rotors, 12" sport system the price was around $1500 for just the fronts.
