Is anyone running a 1350 pinion yoke, I need to know if the length of the drive shaft would need to be changed. Im about to order a new shaft from either Dennys (if they would ever answer the phone) or Dynotech, but the dynotech guy was not sure if the 1350 pinion yoke would change the length of the shaft. Please help if u can.

Brer Rabbitt,

I'm about to do the same thing. Did you get an answer to this? I got a Moser 1350 forged rear end yoke.

Thanks,
John

I measured an exact same depth from the base of the yoke to the ujoint mounting surface, regardless of size. This is with the moser billet piece.

Although it is more time consuming, you should always measure final driveshaft length after the pinion yoke is in place and properly tightened. I went thru this last spring. You should buy and install the pinion yoke, then measure from the trans housing at the rear seal to the u-joint centerline of the pinion yoke. Give this length to whoever will be building your driveshaft. I happen to prefer Dynotech.

Yep.. I had to have my driveshaft end changed anyway for the bigger joint.. so everything was re-measured.

I've found that local driveshaft companies can do good work too and at times, much cheaper than the "branded" companies.. they don't make their stock of materials anyway.

Yes 1350 joints are bigger, If you order from Denny's they have everything on file. They know what to send you! I ordered mine from the with 1350's also, very nice shaft & service was great! It's not a bad idea to measure anyway!
