14 bolt heads

Does any one know what heads had 14 bolts and were cast iron ?? are they considered stage 1 heads or really old 4.1 ??

I believe that the only 14 bolt cast iron heads were Buick motor sports stage II. They may still be available from GM.

A stated above early Stage II heads were ironand had a 14 bolt configuration. Supposedly there were a few sets of Stage I 14 bolt castings although I've never seen any. I seem to recall that Rick Harper had a set a few years ago.

there is both, Stage 2 cast iron heads are around and fairly easy to find. There is also Stage 1A cast iron heads that are 14 bolt with screw in studs for rockers. There was 57 sets made and most of them got scrapped. I had a set that went to Terry Houston and then to Red Armstrong, I believe that is what he used on his TSS car for many years. They were awesome.
