Anyone know how many of the verts were produced in 83?? Rare? medium rare? common?
Found 1 that may need an LSX in it...A true SLEEPER!

Never mind... Supposed 1 owner is actually the 2nd. He says the title got lost when the orig owner had it mounted in a frame, died, and the title vanished. He offered a bill of sale... Right!

They were aftermarket conversions. But yeah, sounds like it's a parts car.

there was never a G body convertible built at a GM factory.. there were a few companies that would put (i think) Caddy Eldorado convertible tops on them for you if you wrote them a big enough check..

That's what I was thinking... Aftermkt deal. Couldn't find the productions figures w/ a Google search, B4 I posted.

I saw one back in the day at a buick dealer in Chicago. They told me the place that did it was in California. The cost of the conversion was $9600:eek:. That was $400 less that I paid for my car back then . Looks good with the top down,But put that top up and it looks like sh!t

I believe a bunch of these were done by cho cho customs. They did a bunch of silly things with cars and vans before they went out of business.

Hey, just my 2 cents worth, but i couldn't be happier with my convertible. Not sure on numbers, mine is an 82,with 87 sheetmetal, interior, and drivetrain. Was originally a turbo carburated car, for a good description an more pics visit sunsetclassics.com look under cars sold. Neat story of the guy that built it, I fell in love with the car the moment the magazine hit the stands in 93, never dreamed i'd own it! One with 20's and ragged out not my cup tea though!

There was guy in the Chicago area that did several conversions. He used the convertible top from early 80's LeBron and it was almost a perfect fit. I was offered few cars that he converted but........ I didn't want to associate with him or the cars he came across for various reasons.!
Prasad :D

Looks great with the top down...I love verts, Id love a GN roadster with no top at all and a smooth deck. No one ever takes these cars out in the rain anyway right?;)
