Did you end up getting the dash/radio fixed or figure out what exactly the problem was?

I have not touched it this winter. Radio is still not working. I might not have a chance to fix it and will probably sell as is. You can still find them on ebay. I had a rattle in the dash last fall and it was that hood support. I put some grease on it and the rattle is gone! G-body cars are known for that rattle. I'm glad it's a easy/quick fix.
