1987 Regal Total Production Numbers

I've read that Buick produced about 65,000 total Regals, in all variations, in 1987. We all know, that roughly 20,000 of that number were GN's. Based on watching the film Black Air, the last regal built was sometime around December 11th, 1987. Perhaps the last G body as the film states.

If my VIN ends with 61498, when approximately was my car built? Also, does anyone know the VIN, or at least the last 5 digits of it, for the Grand National featured in the Black Air film - the one owned by the gentlemen who "got the last one". I assume the numbers are close to 65000.

Look at the cowl tag under the wiper for the approximate build week.

It is a 5 letter and digit code for the week, month and year built.

Search feature on "cowl tag" should provide the decoding info. it's been covered many times before.
