sorry but I do have a GN dash that was done over in 1988  funny it's still on there with no cracking , lifting or fading  I think you should get a new camera :p

Where is that grey painted swaybar mounting to? Shouldnt it mount to the 2 bolts on the control arm? Whats up with that funky oil dipstick?

My blue car has that same grey sway bar. It just has brackets welded on it. I forget who made it, but I think I got it from Summit.

I think that's a nice car for $12K, as long as it looks just as good in person. Mileage doesn't mean much to me if the car is rust free and clean.

Very True, I've seen your car! Cant get much nicer!!

not to argue with anyone here but, in just my short little 'digital photography experiments' career, even i know thats flash washout.

How do you flash washout the fact that the steering column and the floor shifter are the only original colors in that pic

Its easy, theyre further away. i see it everyday around my house when i shoot photographs of things up close, perfecting my photo skills for an up coming project. also, different things are at different angles. theyre going to have different reflectivity values, as are the materials ones shooting. some just reflect more than others. As far as how the interiour velour looks a different colour? also flash washout. again, not trying to start anything here at all but, anything short of yankin the whole dash and everything, and having a professional restorator or interior specialist dye em with a PROFESSIONAL GRADE (NOT released for public distribution) dye, would simply not last. I dont care WHAT you do, or HOW you prep it. Its simply not going to stick. yea, i know the "mines been dyed for 3 years now, and its fine" is a one in a million case. let me rub my dirty thumb over it in the summer, and watch me rub it right off too.....

LOL- Not stepping on your toes, but c'mon, you cant say that since the steering column and shifter didnt "washout" cause its farther away?
The dash is the entire width of the car, and the color is consistantly wrong all the way across!:)
Even in some of the door pics without the flash, the dash color is too lite in color IMO

You can clearly see that the seats have been redone, and here is the perfect example. Look at the color of the headrest, that is original, look at the seat, its almost blue.
How would the camera flash washout the seats and not the headrests?
Did the camera flash washout the extra seat material wrinkles in the seats too?

Im just saying its painted and its the wrong color, if you owned a grey interior car or 4 you would know instantly:biggrin:

Just my opinion:biggrin: Ive been wrong before!

Nothing that I love more than a good arguement, but I agree with Bryan 100% regarding his comments and / or observations. That looks more like "mileage washout" to me than "flash washout", and fwiw, there was another post regarding the mileage claim and the fact that carfax showed it over 100K at last check. Nice appearing paint job, though. Another indication / giveaway as to the mileage is the condition / "lack of flatness" of the consloe cover. I do hope that both the seller and the buyer are happy with the outcome of this auction. The outside overall condition of the car's chrome, brightwork, wheel outlines and rims does appear to be somewhat better than an average 100K mile plus turbo brick.

i agree that shes a high mileage car but. the reason the colour is lighter than it should be on the dash, is cuz of the flash lightening it. look at my interior and seat.

the light grey insert on my seat cover, is wayy darker in person than in this picture. so is my dash. while the differences are not as pronouced AS the car in question, my steering column is a different shade than the rest. only cuz of the flash though. in person theyre quite close

Take a look at the picture of the bottom of the drivers door on the inside. It looks very wavy like it has had body work at one time. Anybody else notice this?

 Turbo6Smackdown-

From your pictures...
Notice how the glove box doesnt match the dash, the speedo cluster vynal doesnt match the dash, the console doesnt match the dash, and the wheel and shifter are different color than the rest.
THAT is how its supposed to be even with 1.21 jiggawatts from your camera.

Yet your column is darned near the same color as the dash, even with a high flash in a dark garage at night:biggrin:

The car in question is monotone, cept for the wheel, column, and shifter.
Notice how the white cars glove box is the identical to the rest of the dash, the a- pillars are darker (both sides) and the speaker grill is the same color too....

Just my opinion!

I hear ya bro. but the reason the shifter handle illuminates differently, is the angle its at. and the pic of that guys car, was in the daylight. further helping his flash do its thing. unlike my weak flash, in a dark garage :)

I mean i totally see what youre saying sure. I dont know. as good a painter as i am, i still wouldnt rip an entire interior out just to spray it. not worth the hassle at all. I guess well never know though. at any rate, he lied to the buyer, and thats a crime. and as far as tampering with the odometer, thats a genuine crime, that has gotten several people in trouble already.
I know that pics lie, and make paint look way better than it really is but, i think thats a darn nice car lol. not worth the money though. but still a darn nice car.
