Ported irons and intake, nice flat tappet cam, msd 72's te-45a,DFI 9" 3500 stall TH-400, griffin radiator, power plate, ported tb,kb doghouse, THDP, brand new power master, caspers wiring harness. Man it feels strong and sounds good. Good friend comes buy and wants to go for a ride.... OK!! 2.5 miles away and decide to head torwads downtown chicago. T-tops out and hit the on ramp...hit it ...sudden loss of power and a smoke screen behind me before I got into traffic. got right back off and limped her home. Milk anyone?? We laughed and I called all my buddies with GN's and other hot rods to tell them Iwas the last one to hit the streets this summer and first one broken :D !! Laugh it up guys because I will for the rest of the night! Pullin it out tomorrow!!

Took the motor out this morning. Removed the plugs and I think both of the head gaskets. It didn't run hot or start knocking but the oil did mix with the coolant. Since I know that the motor has less than 200 miles on it do you guys think I need to go through the whole motor? And how do you flush out the motor, milk everywhere! All replies appreciated

Blown hg on cylinder #4 (removed intake) When do you need to o-ring a block?

Find out why it blew???

Wrong gas, too much boost on pump gas?
Race chip on pump gas?

Your GN buddies should have told you to drain the oil milkshake, change the oil and get that milkshake off the bearing surfaces before you pull the motor...

You should have drained the milkshake immediately once the car was home-

Good thing the HG blew, it could have been a piston!

Got motor to my tr guy and he wants to see the injector on that cylinder.Looks like that one was lean. Going with H-bearings and polishing the crank (it's standard). No copper showing but they dont look like a motor that has only been driven for a week. My exhaust housing on the 45 has a black sticky film in it and in the downpipe. He says the seal might be bad but there is no oil on the compressor side. can that happen?
