Newish build.maybe 6k miles. #2 spark plug doesn't last 1 tank of fuel before fouling out. The car continues to run perfect but my OCD tells me to check them. All the rest of the plugs look brand new. Changed injectors, coil pack, module, compression checks out good. Valve seals are good, zero smoke. Would the PCV system foul only 1 plug with a rjc power plate? I have a catch can and does catch oil. There looks to be oil coming up the threads but I can't make out if it's oil or unburned fuel. The only thing I haven't done is put new spark plugs wires. These have barely 10k miles and ohmed out good. What am I missing here

That's fuel. When you swapped injectors what were they? New, old ?
Try swapping with the adjacent injector. Does your oil smell of gasoline?

If it's oil, as you suggest, that will help seal a funky ring pack.
Try a leak down, instead.

Swapped my old 42.5s for a new set of 60s. Issue stayed the same.

I had this issue with the #6 plug. I tried everything, swapped injectors around, tried different coil/ign module, plugs, wires, everything I could think of. The compression test, even though it was low at 157k miles showed all cylinders almost the same pressure. In my case the intake seal/guide was completely shot. There was some other good ideas posted in my thread about the fouled plug. (only thing I didn't try was a leak down test)

How's your oil level? I didn't check mine too close, but it didn't have 500 miles on the oil change and was over a quart low

Thanks for the info. The oil for the most part is good to go. I sure hope it's not the guides. Like I mentioned before, the car has zero smoke. I've been chasing this for a while now.

Mine didn't smoke until it got past 20#, other than that it idled/ran fine. Since there's only 6k on the build, it shouldn't be the guides

If I'm not mistaken, the guides were not replaced. They were checked and were good to go.

Does the companion cylinder plug look a lil dirtier as well? If so I would look into the coil pack. Could be a weak wire/bad connection as well. Do a compression test and see what that cyl looks like vs teh others as well.

Companion cylinder is good to go. Compression test was done and was on par with other cylinders.

As stated do a leakdown. I would ditch the type II ignition for now and return to stock. Have you put you eyes on the valves seals? Are u sure they are seated on the guides. I have one up here now that keeps pushing off the ex seals. I went with a different seal(manley).

We'll Steve, you and whoever else suspected the valve stem seal was the issue were correct. I finally decided to get in a fight with my passenger GN1 valve cover and reveal the culprit, #2 intake valve stem seal was popped off. This was causing my plug fouling issue. Now time to order and install new seals and fight the cover back on. Is this the proper seal?

No those are stockers. You need the manley style seals for .552 guide and 11/32nds stem.

Lick the plug when it cools off and see if it tastes like oil or gas.

To eliminate the plug wire, swap the fouled cylinders wire with a good cylinder. If the fouling follows the wire, you found your problem.

Earl, the problem was found. It ended up being #2 intake valve stem seal that popped off. Thanks for the input though. I'll need to see if I can find someone willing to rent out one of those buick specific spring compression tools.

Get one of those cheep overhead spring tools with the hand wheel on top. It's easy on all of them except #6. Wont take you an hour start to finish. Two is easy to get to.
