Can the center section be taken off of the outer section very easily?

I'm thinking of getting some OMs and want to have the centers powder coated. I read of their website that there is a silicon sealer between the two sections.

Well, in case anyone else has this question, I was up at the tire shop today, they said they can take them apart, its not real easy because the sealant does bond the 2 parts together even after the bolts are removed.
They contacted Simmons, and Simmons will not ship the rims apart, they have to assemble them for warranty and safety reason, but they did agree to ship me the centers only...let me go off and paint or powder coat them, then ship them back to Simmoms and they will finish assembly.

Simmons make nice rims have a set on my mustang you wont be disappointed the quality is second to none
Speedline makes nice wheels also I have a set from my M3 that Im gonna try to make work on my gn or vette whichever looks best on

They should be for the $$ they cost. There's is an update however to my earlier post. A GM at Simmons called the tire shop back and said they could not allow the centers to be coated and shipped back, even if the coating was not on the sealing surface, they are afraid it will not seal properly and they would have to warranty them....
So, I may continue looking, or just leave them silver, or paint them instead of powder coating.

if your determined to get your new wheels redone I use a place called
wheels america they are cheap as hell and they make any wheel look great.Had my speedlines rebuilt and high polished at extra cost but was very reasonable. I think they charge $109 each wheel nowadays any way just a suggestion..
By the way why would you bother looking at $ amount its part of the game just dont look at the receipts and its all good..thats what I do.
