Just dug up two more transbrake kits.
These are "Stage Right" brakes.

$135 each shipped.
With full color, very detailed instructions. Typical install time is 1-2 hours with basic handtools.

Thanks, Brian

Will probably take one from you, I'll talk to my trans guy in the next day or two and see if he's okay with installing it while he's doing the rebuild.

What Kind Of Brake Is It,electric Or Manual, and Do I Need To Get A Plate For The Shifter.

Brian,
Heard so much positive things about you i cant wait till my 2004R needs
freshening up! Anyway, about the stage right trans brake,Is this in your
appinion the best?Let me know.If so i want #2 you have for sale OK.

John

Brain,
Whats the differance between manual and electrical?I should of asked you
this in other pm,let me know.

John

john you might want to do a search on that last question. im sure brian will tell you his opinion but it might save him sometime on writing a article. there are pages and pages of info on that question

Thanks John. Always nice to hear some positive reinforcement!;)

These are a very nice low cost option. They flat out work.
The trannies I build have a similar brake, but is a little different, and not for a DIY`er.

For the cost, I would do these over an electric all day. As, with many electrics, you need a special pan. (can get as costly as $1k)
If you were a hardcore race, I would go electric, for a weekend warrior.... These will work very well on the cheap!

You will need to get the detent brackets for under the shifter console to complete the kits. DC Tech, and a few other vendors sell these. Everything else is supplied.

Thanks, Brian

Tomorrow (Thurs) is my day off from work I'm going to talk to Jimmy and see if he has his own brake kits laying around or if he wants me to order one of these, still potentially interested, will let you know.

Brian,
Thanks for the info.It sounds like something im interested in.Can you tell me how it works, how it does what it does and how?,also would a PTS aluminum
deep trans pan do the trick?,Its 4.5" deep!Let me know.
