2004 Ford Lightening

I was at the local 7-11 last night and picked up one of the exotic car for sale magazines. Scanning through the pages of cars that I can't pronounce I spotted a picture ad for the redesigned '04 Ford Lightening. Holy sh#t!!!! The ad says that it has 500 bhp. The ad was also right next to the picture ad for the '04 Dodge SRT Viper powered 500 bhp truck. The Dodge was priced at $44,000 and the Ford at $40,000.
Boy am I glad GM has their crap together with that awsomely under powered SS truck!!

No kidding... The SS is a dissapointment.. I mean yeah it may be awd all time (Silverado SS).but there is no balls! Hardly lives up to the "SS" badge on the side..

I love the idea of the SS, make a good looking, AWD, V8 pick-up...To bad GM dropped the ball AGAIN...I would ok as long as they made it in a short bed light weight version, cuz I prefer to buy a vehicle and modify it to my liking, but that thing weighs a couple of tons...it's ridiculous.

The 2004 Lightning is also 300-400 pounds heavier than the 2003.

However, you're right...GM (excepting the Z-06) is currently the "weak-sister" of all the car manufacturers...certainly is not a beacon of performance vehicles any more.
