Like the title says the 2004r in my car is taking a sh#t and i have a th350 so should i rebuild the 2004R or convert to th350

I love the OD my self and having a low 12 second ride and getting 23 MPG is awesome you can forget that with a 3 speed.

For around 1300 you could have a strong 200

call Lonnie 9373792233 at extreme automatics. May have to leave a message. Great prices and product....awesome guy

+1 What he said.;)

+2 For the money you save by already having a 350 you will spend in trying to convert. I think it'd be a waste of money to switch to a th350. 200's can be built to withstand just about anything. Plus you won't be crusing down the highway @ 4000rpm if you have a set of gears. Think of the gas money you'll save over time!

It depends on what the car is used for. Even if the car is driven on the street a lot I still like the T-350. A 3.42 gear and 28 inch rear tire keep the rpms very reasonable. For a car driven on 2-3 hr trips I like the 200r but for anything other than a highway car I'll shove the 200r in the corner everytime. I can get a T-350 for half of what a decent 200r will cost and the crossmember can be found in any junkyard. I guess I had enough of the 2-3 flare and how the bill to make them work like a 350 or 400 just keeps growing and growing.

Hwy/interstate car - 200r
Anything else-350

I agree with this. The added cost to build a 200 to withstand sub 11 sec passes and live is not cost effective if your not driving the car more than couple thousand miles a year.
