Need advice, struggling to find someone in Las Vegas that can handle a proper rebuild. The car I bought has 34k original miles, the transmission doesn't have problems but I currently pulled everything to make the car run good. All new suspension, deep clean, gaskets, sensors etc for long term reliability. The long block is stock, don't care for big power but since I have the motor and trans pulled, I want to get it built before future problems. Only a cruiser but I want it to run good when I have a heavy foot, I know these trans have their notorious failure. If it's a struggle to rebuild and price isn't worth it, what are we using? 4l80's? What would be a good reliable, strong replacement that most use? Can't find anything really online or YouTube. Appreciate the help.

The Bates Nut Farm Buick meet is coming up soon. If you wanted to go check it out and talk to some Buick guys about who they are using near San Diego.
