looking to possibly add a trans brake to my el camino. have a new 2004r from bowtieoverdrives...level 3 said to hold 600 hp... so the question is how much and where do i purchase a 2004r trans brake from? will it still be a automatic/manual valvebody or full manual? hard to install? thanks

called art carr... full manual 2004r trans brake for $550... is that good? does anyone out there have experience with art carr trans brake?

There is a style that has proven to work very well, It leaves the trans fully automatic, but when placed in (1) low it applys, just shift out of 1st and your off. contact Mike at Full throttle speed and style. I believe he has them for around 200

i saw thoes kits on ebay for 100bucks... sounds shady, so if you downshift into 1st gear manually the trans brake engages? you know people who have this type of kit?

Do a search, I ran this setup for ver a year with no problems, You just dont have manual 1 because it apllies the transbrake. The only thing you may find is that if you are making good power the forward drum has a tendency to snap. But that can happen with any transbrake on a 2004r.
