I need some advise.I rebuilt my 200r4 out of my 86 t type.I am having trouble with a 1-2 shift sliding and the 2-3 shift flare up at more than 1/2 throttle.Any less throttle and it shifts hard.I have tried swapping valvebodys,i blocked the accumlators,i changed the servo,i changed the pressure regulator and i drilled the seperator plate to firm up the shifts.Nothing seems to help. And yes the tv is set correctly.I work at a trans shop and yet i cant seem to get it right.Any advise would be great. Also when i was working on trying to fix this it burned the kevlar band up on wiped the drum and the dierct clutches where starting to burn.I have replaced the band, drum and clutches and i am affraid that its going to burn theses up soon if i dont figure it out soon.I also did a line pressure test and it came out with all the correct pressures acording to an atsg manual.

My br trans did the same when it was rebuilt, turns out it was the seperator plate gasket from the rebuild kit. My trans guy figured out that the new gasket lacked a hole somewhere in the gasket when he macthed it up against the old gasket. he made the hole and it worked like normal

I didnt do the line pressure test when driving.Maybe i will do that today.I have tried different seperator plate though. As far as i can tell it is correct.

Today i installed a B&M shift kit, followed the instructions to a t and still the same problem.I also replaced the 1-2 acumulator body.I picked all the valves just to make sure there wasnt any stuck ones.I am starting to wonder if the case has a hairline crack or something. It seems like the more i do to make it shift harder the worse it gets.I even tried to just pull the tv adjustment so it was very aggressive and shifting late to see what it does and it didnt help either.I didnt have time to do another line pressure test today.

Well today i ripped it apart again, what a surprize the band and direct clutches are burnt again. So i changed all of that and tried a different trans case, whole pump, center support and it still shifts the same.I almost feel like its time to get the gas can out and light a match and just end all of theses problems
