Me and my girl are looking at getting her an suv!! She's had this 2008 Lexus IS for a few yrs now and me being 6'3 300lbs the car sux!!! Plus her lease has been up for a few months and she is a store manager and she needs to drive in some chitty weather to open up her store !! Yeah its only NJ but I want her to be safe and when i drive i wanna be somewhat comfortable and be able to get it muddy a little:biggrin:!! I really like what im hearing and seeing about the 11' Cherokee's!!! My girl was liking the new Explorer's!!! Ehh yea not so much for me!! Its based off the new taurus and its technically catagorized in the " Crossover" type !! The new Cherokee has a pretty nice set up!! the v6 puts out about 250hp im assuming flywheel, but still they claime 500miles per tank of gas with them v-6's!! 4wd, has air ride suspension which increases ride height at the touch of a button up to like 4 inches total i think thats what i heard Maybe a little less!! Even lowers the car 1.5 inches for easy exit or some bs!! Warrenty seems good!! Interior looks pretty good to me as well, The ol lady likes it to!!
We are going to test drive the suv tomm afternoon!! Curious if anyones had expriiance with these ( Cherokee's) personally or known someone who has!!
Any feedback or any other info good or bad about the suv is appreaciated!!!
TIA,
Phill

ummm.... I get to wash them... they seem nice....

It's jeep's flagship vehicle. They put a lot of effort into the grand cherokee, always have. The new v6 is showing promise but no miles on any yet. Only the loaded up ones have the air ride control, I've gotten to play with one of those it's like having a lift kit and a lowering kit at the same time. The difference in height is huge. Only thing I don't like, they are expensive. but they hold resale pretty damn good if you pop on a new one.

Don't worry the chrysler bashing will begin shortly. Should be expected though on a GM board.

Not too bad, but the 6 will feel like a dog if you take the HEMI out for a ride. That thing moves! The new Overlander is a sweet ride for sure. I love that new tan interior that they have. Looks like football leather.

my buddy took me for a ride in his hemi and it is sweeeeet and faaaast. Also when on the hwy it turns of 4 cylinders for fuel economy. Very nice ride, I want one but can justify the purchase.

the new durangos are sweeeeeeeet

drive one.....I agree they look very nice, but the steering is numb, some interior panels don't fit very well, and the seats are hard as a rock.

I've had 2 Grand Cherokees and I would definitely rock the new one, if I didn't drive 30K miles a year for work. My last one would go through anything and towed a 3400 lb Camaro in an enclosed trailer for 200 miles with no issues.

The 2012 SRT 8 Cherokee is supposed to be close to 500 HP with better MPG than the last ones. May want to wait a few months??
