20psi

I'm starting a turbo project on my car, all internals are currently forged ready for install. I was wanting to run around 20psi of boost from a turbo and figured the GN's are the same displacement, so it should be close enough. Anyway, what turbo will spool up quick and get me upwards of 20psi with ported and polished heads and intake manifolds. I have no idea, but tryin to learn. ANY recomendations are helpful.

A couple points...

It depends a lot on what transmission you run. If auto, the torque converter stall will dictates how big a turbo will spool from a stop, the higher the stall the bigger the turbo. Manual transmission you can run a bigger turbo. The lag will keep your clutch from smoking when the turbo spools early. The auto will be faster and give less breakage but a manual can work OK with a free reving engine.

Fuel injectors will likely become a concern with ported heads. I would recommend 50# minimum injectors.
