Looking at the Micky's,the 275/60/15 is 28 inches tall and the 255/60/15 is 27.In a car that would go 11.30 which tire will keep the RPM in the best range at the finish line ( 1/4 mile). Is one tire better in the 60 ft ?Thanks in advance

Kevin:biggrin:

That will depend on your shift point/power range, RPM and gear (3rd or locked conv.) ...with my cam, 204/214, and ported irons,it makes power to around 52-5300 and with a 28" tire (275/60/15) in 3rd gear,it goes thru the lights at about 5400..=not good...so my next tires may be a 295/65/15 (29.5 tall)...or a new motor.

How about a rearend gear change rather than an "new motor"? It would probably be a little easier on the pocket book.

29"+ tall tires in the rear would just look goofy.
