Just want to know my options for turbos with a 2800 12" stall?

I don't mind if there's a slight lag/roll before spool up (it'd be like traction control).

The rest of the setup is: 009s, ported heads/intake, 23row bar n plate stock location intercooler, alky

Thanks

Nope Paul, just 009s...

EDIT: If it comes down to buying another, I'd go with the TE60 since it's the same price as a 44...

no i didnt assume you had 50s i said " assume with alky you have equivalent of 50lb injectors " i saw your sig
42# + approx 20% alky so you have of approxamitely what a 50lb injector would supply for fuel .
running a bigger turbo than reccommended stall will give you lag , how much varies with tune and car weight and how much is too much youll have to try to out and see what you can stand , but i wouldnt run less fuel than reccommended for the turbo as listed in the chart

Thanks Paul, sorry for misunderstanding what you wrote!

Assuming, with alky, I have 50# injectors, I'm good for a TE60 and my 12" 2800 stall (with head work) should work well too. My car has NO power options, making it a lightweight. Only reason I'm looking at the TE60 is because Cotton prices it the same as his TE44...

The charts say the TE 60 should have 009s and 27-2800 stall. So I should be alright. I don't mind slight lag (would be a built in traction control), but excessive lag would be annoying... according to the chart, I'm in good shape.

I'd stick with a TA49/TE44 size with that stall. I'd keep the .63 exhaust housing, may rob you a little top end power compared to the .82 housing, but will spool better. I think bigger than these turbos and you will have lag issues, although it may still be driveable. If you think you might do a converter down the road, maybe then I'd go with the bigger turbo. If you don't ever plan on changing the converter, might as well stick with a 49 or 44.

With an .82 exhaust housing, Paul ran his 11.45 on a TA49 and I've ran an 11.6 on a TE44 with little tuning. Maybe knock a couple 1/10s off if we had the .63 housing. These turbos are still plenty fast, no reason to get a bigger than needed turbo. To push a TE60 to the max, you'd probably need bigger injectors and a higher stall. If you don't plan on pushing a TE60, might as well stick with a 49/44 with your current setup.

I have new respect for the 49/44 turbos after Paul and I ran those times this spring.

the te44 even with the 82 was a very quick spooler with my 2800 (10.5") and is an easy 11.6 turbo

Thanks guys, what do you think of the te44 with the 82 AND a 12" 2800?

Thanks for the heads up to that post... I like the TE60 since I have head work...
