Heres the deal: From a stop, and with my car in OD like I always drive, it will get up to about 10-15 mph and then it's like it shifts into neutral. I can take it all the way to red line and it will not grab. If I feather it at lower rpms, it eventually will grab and then I'm able to drive fairly normal until I have to slow down or stop again. All in all it takes between 30sec and 1 min to engage, which makes city driving impossible. The car ran similar to this about 7-10 months ago (5-8k miles ago) and was fixed by adjusting the TV cable. The car has been romped on, on the street, but hasn't seen any street or track racing as of yet (nothing major anyway). The car is at about 99,200 miles and nothing has been gone through yet (just basic recipe mods,FP, AFPR, hotwire, etc..). I pulled a bit on the TV cable and it seems like there is "springy" feeling in the line, but I have it maxxed out (pulled all the way toward fire wall) and there is no room for improvement. Any ideas? Could the TV cable be stretched beyond working ability? Thanks in advance!

Throttle valve is stuck in wot position. Some kind of contamination in the oil is usually the cause. Valve is stuck for a reason. Even if you get it unstuck, you had better find the cause or down the road you got more problems. Something is contaminating the oil and you better find it.

How could I go about checking for this? Flush it and fill it? I need to act quick and I may order a new tranny and then rebuild my old one down the road. What are your suggestions for new trannys? Level 10, Dynomax, etc....? What is the usual $$ given for a core? Thank in advance.

Yeah :D , saw you're site...looks great . I'll try to get ahold of you today. You look like you have exactly what I want. May as well replace the stock convertor while I'm at it too. What is shipping, $$$ wise, from California to Colorado? Estimate?

Thanks Bruce!
