3" downpipe with external gate on lowered car

Anyone have any luck with a 3" dp with external gate on a car with drag springs? My front is lowered about 2 inches and my kirban dp just clears the control arm when hard on the bump stops. Any recommendations for an upgrade? I'll be running a 6766.
 
what i did was run a tubular upper control arm on that side (like the gbodyparts arms ) lots more clearance . not the trz tubular as they arent realy made for turbo regals and are arched up and make any dp a chore at any ride height ,

and a 2" drop should not have been done with springs , before getting to that point the spindles should have been swapped for drop spindles keeping the arms at normal height and the geometry of the front end where it should be
 
drop spindles dont screw up the steering because they just move the wheel up , the spring drop creates all sorts of issues that have to be addressed
 
Used springs because I want the stored energy for weight transfer for launches. I may try a different upper arm if no one has any input on a dp.
 
any external pipe will have trouble with the stock upper arm and even a slightly lowered car
about the only source for external anyway is gn1 and they warn you about clearance issues with lowered cars

put the gate on the turbo .. no issue that way
