Is there way to increase 3rd gear firmness without completely opening the transmission up.(Dual feeding, more clutches, different clutches ect..) I am not talking about adding holding power so the directs don't slip and burn. Just adding firmness to the shift just like deleting accumulators or adding stiffer springs to 2nd and 4th. I know the servo acts like an accumulator for third filling the servo and releasing the band while the direct get oil. How would one go about increasing firmness without throwing the timing off?
