Who makes the 009 42lb. injectors? Are they made by Delphi/Lucas? Currently, I only see Delphi/Lucas as the manufacter for those injectors. Does this injector have a good spray pattern? Thanks for any info.

Craig

They are / were produced by Lucas.
PTE sells the as well as others. It is a disc style injector that sprays a little richer than Delphi ball and seat style injectors. Bosch makes a 43# injector that was used on the Ford Lightenings. The chip fueling perameters are different between the 009 Lucas and the 43# Bosch tho. I prefer the Lucas 009s. But in all honesty, I really like the 60# Mototron injectors the best.

Go with a 60 pound injector from one of our vendors and have eric marshall at TT burn you a chip and unless you want some serious serious timeslips you should be good to the high 10's.

I hear great things about the 60lb. injectors. But, I'm never going to need that much fuel. A set of 60lb. injectors can make up to 720 hp. I've currently run 12.30's with my stock injectors. I was wanting to run 11.70's with a T/A-49, Dut. neck intercooler, and stock downpipe. I like the looking stock and going fast thing. The 42lb. injectors should provide plenty of fuel for my goal or am I thinking too old school?

Hyper, I've got a set of 9 month old 009's that I pulled out (went with 72's) that you can have for $100.00. I am local- 30 miles west of St. Louis and can meet you today if you want.

not sure what you have already but I may be able to make a deal with you on a ta49 and 009 injectors, both have under 1000 miles on them. let me know if you are interested

The 42lbers are not that desirable due to the 60's being not only much larger but just as smooth of an idler as the stock injectors. Many have had problems with the 42's but Eric might be the guy that tamed that tiger.

I personally wouldn't waste any $$ on 42's and I have a TA49 with a crap load of mods. And saying you will stop at high 11's is the equivalent of Lindsay Lohan saying she will stop drinking.

DAMN...isnt that the truth. I WAS going to leave mine the way I got it...( new TA 49, 009's , Caspers Thumbwheel chip)...less than a month after the purchase of the car, CPT66 bb,Turbonetics boost controller, ext gated DP,Tial Wastegate, 72lb inj, ALKY, FAST XFI, PowerPlate, 4" Cold air kit, Art Carr 9" NLU, Art Carr shift kit and his internals...No track times yet, still tuning. Still need a FMIC, HR Bar and control arms... NO end in sight. Hope to be at the Midwest Challenge.
