49 or what

I was told this was a ta 49 when I bought the car.After more and more issues i am questioning.I ordered a new actuator from full throttle for said 49 and it is way different so now i'm baffled.See pic1

i can't make out if it a 63 or 83 on casting on the 3 bolt flange.I know the oulet is 60 and 10.Th actuator they sent me has an extra piece welded to it where as mine don't so what is it a ta 49 a te 44 a stock what.

A TE-44 doesnt have that kind of mounting tube for the intake. Looks like a 49 but im not sure.

you could take off the inlet bell and measure the impeller housing

They sent you a actuator for a te style turbo and need a ta style.Ta style is like a stock turbo with inlet bell and te has a different inlet housing that the inlet bell is molded in the housing.Hope that helps.

Its definitely not a stock turbo, it has a precision exhaust housing and the compressor wheel is different than stock.

At first glance it appears to be a ta49 turbo, you could do some research and find out.

Whats wrong with the old style wastegate?

I agree the wastegate isnt right for that setup, I have a TA61 and the wastegate looks like the original one on your turbo
