as far as i know any year 4l80e will work. a spacer plate is req'd to get the additional bolt pattern. the newer the transmission thebetter as they have made changes to the lubrication circuit i'm told. the newer transmissions cooler lines are different locations than the earlier model (having one on the side and one near the back end of the tranny-newer). two options to run your speedo, either electric breakout box or get an adapter to run your cable directly. aftermarket crossmember is also available to mount the tranny. hopefully this helps you out.:)
 
Yep, in my G-body I have one with the mechanical speedo cable adapter and a Gforce crossmember.

It's a great tranny and the programmability let's you easily get perfect for your driving style and powerband. Running the TCI T-Com controller.
