Ask for the rear wheel cylinders for an 83 S-10 pickup with manual brakes. As far as the shoes I think Kirban used to sell them as a set. I used to get mine relined with the softest material they had at a shop that lines them (clutch shop) then I would have them make them all as long as possible. Now I use a transbrake, but I can still hold 15-20psi on the footbrake. I also have bent shoes in the past as well as breaking aluminum drums.

Is that a type-o or do I really need to get rear wheel cylinders for an 83 S-10 and if so how come?

boxing LCA

I did this to mine (for free) and I think you are better off buying a pair even if you can do all the work yourself. The cost and time of the poly bushings and the welding........still not as good as a new boxed set with bushings installed.

That is what the bigger cylinders came on. Early-mid 80's s-10 pickup with manual brakes. They may fit more than that but you will get the right ones if you order them for an 83.

Picked mine up at the local O'Reilly's. One of the better initial upgrades. I went from being able to hold 3psi to 10psi.
