I would like to aquire a 8.5 differential for my project! does not have to be posi to keep cost down. So far all i seen is everybody that is selling one wants to get rich off selling it! I am located in the L.A. area. thanks for looking!

i dont think its people are trying to get rich as much as you may not know what they are worth !!!! the cheapest one i have ever sold was $700 for a non posi one. i usually get $950 for the posi ones . i had not that long ago with a aftermarket posi and axels that brought $1200 and my phone rings all the time with people looking for them and everyone says i cant seem to find them anywhere or their friend had one and was gonna sell them back backed out.i have sold them several times before i even had the car in my possesion. and if i have one forsale for 2 months thats a long time. they dont hang around long thats for sure.

not trying to bash you just trying to educate you.

U probably need to look in my local craigslist because the same fools have the same parts sitting around! Maybe location is the key! & just an FYI I'm pretty educated on these and other vehicles. Still doesn't make them worth spending that much on one, specially when I can pick up a whole t for $1200.

i wished i could buy a whole t for $1200 i would buy them all !!!!!!!!!!!!!! not kidding i would !!!! maybe location is key? i know some parts of the country there is less extra $ floating around and maybe that makes things worth less but i never ever seem to have a problem selling one.

Yeah I'd say location plays a part in it, especially for those who won't deal with shipping large items. I got an 8.5 non posi here, it's listed on this site for $450 and I hear crickets. It's because I won't ship it and I don't live in a big city.

I'm considering buying that t but can't justify having another car for parts at my location. I have a limited regal that I'm converting over to hot air & my 84 t type that are both getting work done on.

Why not just buy the t and forget your limited that your converting?

Sentimental value! I did a lot in that regal! Like that high school car everybody wishes they got back! I never got rid of it! Lol

I have sold no less than 20 posi 8.5s and would not take a penny under 900.00 drum to drum
non posi 700.00

Luis, I just sold two this month, one for $900 w/ 3:42's and one for $1000 w/ 3:73's drum to drum posi units and I am still getting calls on them from guys who where trying to get a deal on one. If you see one for sale in So Cal for a good price like posted above, you need to grab it or I will, LOL ;) J/K. I don't need more crap right now...

Let me know if you still want that cross member.

What's up rob. That frame is off to get Sand blasted & powder coated finally. Right now I urgently need the fuel lines that run along the frame. All three I believe pressure, return & vent. I want to install the frame as soon as possible & I think that will hold me up if I don't get them soon. Lmk if some are available.
