-8 Return line??

Is a -8 line adequate for a return line.... i understand usually -10 lines are used but, my compressor hsg and wg actuator prohibit -10 Hose Ends and i figured oil pressure on the return end wasnt that extreme.... So what's your take??? Patrick???
