'83 Hurst/Olds #429 of 3001 built. Built on 12-20-1982. Purchased from original owner August 8, 2003 in Tifton, GA who purchased from Prince Chevrolet-Oldsmobile, Inc. PO Box 128, HWY. 82 W. in Tifton, GA 31792 on January 31, 1983. I have copy of GA title, dealers invoice window sticker, retail installment sale contract, build sheet, Oldsmobile pre-delivery inspection check sheet, loan documentation, Oldsmobile owners manual, Hurst/Olds option manual, buyer protection manual, radio manual, and tire manuals. Original owner born 1936. A very well documented vehicle.

Car has paraded the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on two occasions - 2004 and 2009 which I have photos passing the layer of brick at the finish line. Also photos with Jack "Doc" Watson - one of the designers and innovators of the Hurst/Olds project along with Linda Vaughn "Miss Hurst" - both had autographed the trunk and photos to support.

A very solid southern car which has all its original paint, rare sand drift (gray) interior, and W40 Hurst package which includes the infamous Hurst Lightning Rod shifter, and only 79,719 miles. This is the 15th Anniversary Edition of the Hurst/Olds collection. A true beauty, an eye catcher, and definitely a collectible.

Yes, both went through Mecum auction. Reserve was not met. There were a lot of nice cars and bids were not coming close to reasonable prices. Some people did not want to bring the cars back home and dropped their reserve.

I am asking $15,400 for the '83 Hurst/Olds and $13,400 for the '87 442. If anyone is seriously interested in either car, please shoot me an offer and see what we can do.

Edited posting and asking $15,400 for '83 Hurst/Olds 15th Anniversary Edition.

1987 442 sold
