I bought an 85 GN motor and its missing a lot of little things:eek: I need to get this engine in my 78 Regal asap, because the Carb engine I have now is horrible on gas and the engine is getting worn out again(rebuilt it once). I drive it daily(about 30-40 miles a day or 1/2 tank a day) and thats just to school:eek: I`m strapped for cash right now because of the carb engine, bills and I was laid-off and cant find work in anywhere in Flint. I`m also in collage and I`m trying to get the money to buy supplies to repaint my Regal, so money is more than just tight:( I know this might sound crazy or stupid, but I`m looking for some stuff for down the road, maybe you have some of this stuff laying around and could hold onto it for me:confused:(no joke) I could really use the help.

I`m looking for...

ECM
Wiring harness
Ignition coil pack
Cam sensor
Fuel pump/fuel sending unit
Fuel filter
EGR vacuum control
Solenoid westgate valve

basically anything on the manifold that will work on my 85 SFI Motor. I`m a newb when it comes to hot air and fuel injection 3.8s, so I might need more things as I go along. Doing my research on hot air motors, trying to figure out how to put this puzzle of an engine I bought back together:biggrin:

Let me know what need concerning the EGR. Picked up a box of hot air parts yesterday and need to see what I have. Brad

Great offer from Mr. Lassiter. Take some pictures of what you have and between all of us we might be able to see what you need. I've got some stuff that I'll give you if you just cover shipping expenses. Thanks Michael

Thanks. Yeah, I should be able to come up with some cash for S&H. I will post some pics next week, don`t have my camera on me right now. I don`t usually like asking for help, but its got to get finished some how. Thanks guys.

Born and raised there, since moved out never to return. Richard Clark is a great guy and he helps out in anyway he can.

Theres a couple of people still in the area with great knowledge, I'll see if I can pass along the email addys.

Good luck with everything

Thanks. I hear ya, I love Flint, but its getting to be time to leave again. I left for FL in 99 and came back in 05 to take care of my Grandmother, but I can`t keep living without a job like this. I appreciate that, I know there are still a lot of people in Flint with GNs, Ttypes, Regals, but a lot of them have raped them with V8s:mad: Not to many left with Turbo 6s. I know some guys that worked at Buick City, but they have lives now and can`t really help me.

This is exactly why I love this site. You may have problems but we try our best to help if we can. You ROCK Rich, as well as the rest of you. this is how to help a member when things get tough for sure, even if you're a Yankee.:D LOL

I have all new gaskets, new water pump, temp cap, pvc valve, belts, HV oil pump, lifter rods, fly wheel, bolts. Going to get some new lifters, they don`t cost much. Can I bypass the A/C unit? The A/C unit on the 79 engine has a separate belt on it, that you can just take off, like I did. also how would I go about hooking up a boost gauge? It was originally a N/A Regal, so it had no gauge.
