List,
This list has been a lot of help to me just from lurking. Now I have a big favor/question. Is anyone in NJ willing to come to my house and look at my 85 GN? It has an idling problem in that it doesn't like too. It high idles if I keep my foot on the gas. I cleaned the IAC valve and replaced the seals on the injectors and cleaned them. The coil resistance is good and the TPS is adjusted correctly. I am in the woodbridge area. Any more questions please ask. I am using DIACOM software to view engine parameters.
Thanks
Kevin
P.S. I will compensate$$$ for someones time

Welcome.
Lots of knowledgable owners in your area.
Describe the issue and post some numbers.
IAC, MAF, FP, Chip, injectors, O2's, CC, etc.

more diacom info

List,
Here is some info from Diacom. Keep in mind that my foot was on the gas to help the car idle. The car was just started thats why the numbers are low for temp. I can get another screen capture in a day or so when it gets to temp if that helps.

Idle speed 1325 rpm - This does change when I rev the engine
coolant temp 75 F - This did increase into the 195 range
throttle sensor voltage .84VDC - this changed with revving the engine.
O2 sensor voltage 456 mV - this does change
Air Flow rate 32 GPS - not sure how this works
Idle Air position 162# - this number varies a lot but kinda slowly
Spark Control Counts - 11#
Cosed Loop Status Off - this went to ONhen the temperature got high enough
Fuel Mixture Status Rich - this varied with idle speed

I keep leaning towards the IAC valve. I took it apart and cleaned it and adjusted it accordingly. If it moves too slow could that be a problem?
Occassional the car does idle nicely on its own.

Thanks
kevin

Look at your MAF

Maf Tap it with a screw driver see if it changes idle. Do propain sniffer test looking for leaks. Shut off car set your TPs for 40 unplug your ECM restart adj your Iac screw 1 1/2 threads down on idle stop, this will effect your Tps setting also. Any changes to this requires an Ecm reset each time. What is your fuel pressure reading 42 hose off? Check and recheck all lines for leaks.

Will the car idle without giving it gas if so those numbers would be of more help because its kind of hard to tell whats not set right if your giving it gas. I would let it get to opperating temp if you can on the next set of numbers also
good luck
