87 gand national floor mat repair

I was wondering if there is a way to fix my floor mats or should I just buy new. The foam backing has started to flake off and I can't leave them in the car anymore. Its sort of like the material under the headliners. It looks like sticky black lint. I thought maybe there is a spray sealer or something to keep it from deteriorate any further. If I decide to buy new which vendors have the best quality and price? Maybe someone has had the same issue.
