Hi all,

Well, I've decided that the time has come to part ways with the GN. I have to sell it in order to pick up another car. I thought that I'd try here first before placing any ads outside. Hopefully she'll go to a nice home.
1987 Buick Grand National
120,000 miles, timing chain/valvesprings replaced.
T-tops (no leaks)
17X8 Torque Thrust II rims with new tires
Fairly recent paint job by Custom Rod Shop (2-3 years old)
Newly re-done interior (f/r seats, door panels)
3" Mease DP
Blue tops with chips (Thrasher 92/108, JL 92, Minimag)
Big neck IC (not on car, but will include)
Walbro 307 w/hotwire
Translator w/LT1 MAF
JC Alky kit
HRParts&Stuff motor mounts
Poston X-over pipe
Scanmaster
RJC powerplate
New AC, radiator, starter, alternator, coil pack, Optima battery.

There's other small stuff on the car, but the list is kinda long already. Car runs well, hits 20-21 psi on 92 octane with 0 knock, and delivers 19-20 mpg. Very nice daily driver.
I'll be more than happy to talk about the car with anyone who is *serious* about buying. I'm asking $9,500 OBO. I can be reached by e-mail, or by calling 626-8715. Thanks!

Selling the GN?!?

What's the "other" car that you're planning on buying? :)

Is it the TTA?

Geoff,

No, it's not the TTA. (although I tried to arrange a trade, but Mako didn't want a GN)
A close friend of mine is picking up a MKIV Supra sometime this month. He's giving me his 3rd-gen IROC really cheap. I know what you're probably thinking, (IROC!?!) but words cannot describe how well this car performs. This particular car probably has over $10K worth of engine, suspension, and other performance mods. I've personally helped modify and tune this car over the years and it has sentimental value to me.
The GN is a nice car, but I've decided to move on to other things.
If you know someone who may enjoy owning this car, feel free to give them my number. Thanks!

Steve

Of course you would say that after I bought the Fatboy....<drool> although realistically, another g-body would not be good for me at the present time.

For those of you that have not seen Steve's car, it is an exceptional street car, and would show really well if thats what you chose to do. It would be a great buy at the price.

Rob

PS, Steve, is the IROC the one I saw at Kapolei Cruise night? with all the "goodies"??

Rob,

Thanks for the kind words about the GN. Sorry to see her go, but that's the way it goes, I guess.
As for the IROC, yes, that's the one you saw at the cruise. Good thing about that car is that there's "goodies" you couldn't see, too.:D

Steve, I hope you don't mind but I posted a link for your ad on speedhawaii.com and hs3.net. Some of the people on those boards are interested in Buicks.

I've had a change of heart....

John,

I appreciate your efforts to help me out, and no, I don't mind.:D
However, after some *serious* thought, I've decided to keep the GN in my garage. The Harley will have to go instead.:(
The way I see it, GNs are hard to find, while Harleys are plentiful. Besides, I'll probably buy a better bike later. (after I make boss)
I'm going to put the ad for my bike in the paper this week. So, if you know anyone looking for a nice Harley, send them my way.
Sorry about the false alarm, but I have my priorities straight now.
:o
Besides, it would be hard to give up all the good friends I've made here over the years. I'd miss the Anna Millers thing. Anyways, I can be like Jackson now. GN and Camaro owner!
I'll probably be picking up the car within a week, so gotta get started on selling the bike.
Once again, sorry for the *false alarm*. Hope nobody is disappointed.

Steve

Thats good to hear Steve. I went and deleted one post but I couldn't delete the other. Oh well, they can just read this one. I'm glad you're keeping the Buick.

Cool :) . Hey Steve maybe you and John can bring you Camaro to one of those track or drift events that a friend runs at Campbell's.

Thanks guys...

Well, it's reading stuff like this that makes me glad I made the right decision.:o Thanks for the morale boosters.
I'll be placing the bike in the Classifieds sometime today. The GN will be staying with me.:D I should be picking up the Camaro sometime this weekend or early next week. I got a *really* good deal on it, and I'm glad my friend is placing her in my care.
She'll need a little work, though, before she's fully roadworthy. After that finished, I'll be sure to bring her to at least one "Anna Millers" trip.
Oh yeah, here's the stats on the bike if you know anyone interested: (for real this time);)
1997 Harley Davidson FXDL Dyna Lowrider
32,000 miles
Excellent condition
V&H ProPipe
Saddlebags/Forkbag
Some extra chrome do-dads
Asking $13,000 OBO

Once again, thanks everybody. Hope to see/talk to you guys soon.

Steve

Good to hear you're going to keep the Buick, on the Harley, what model and much?
I've got the guys at work catching Harley Fever again, so I might be able to help..

Rob

Rob,

Thanks for the offer! Look at the post right above the last one you made, it lists all the details.

Steve

Steve,

oops, didnt see that... ok, I will pass the word on...

Rob

Thanks Rob. FWIW, the ad I'm running will appear in Fridays Advertiser. It'll run for 7 days. If still a no-go, I'm going to try the Buy&Sell.
After that, who knows....?
