Well then, you have not been around here long enough to learn how to install them properly? :biggrin: One simple method is the use a spray adhesive to stick them to the covers. Snug all the bolts. After 15 minutes snug them again. Do it again, and also after a heat cycle on the engine. Check to see they are tight at every oil change. If this method does NOT work, something is wrong? :smile:

Dec 28, 2011 #3 E Eric Stauch Nasty87 Joined Jan 12, 2008 Messages 279 I run cork with no adhesive snug with a nut driver to keep from getting them to tight. and like Nick said go back and snug at every oil change. This seems to be the standard for any cork gasket.
