I just came upon an '87 SS trans. The converter is a D5 (has 5's stamped all around the perimeter and cast, rectangular bolt lugs welded in 6 pnts). Is this stock? I thought SS used D4.
The stall on this converter is about 2200 rpm, correct?
FYI, the servo cover has p/n 8635692 cast into it.
