Just asking to see what you think it could be

hes posting on a mr2 board as well
http://www.board.mr2faq.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=96351] http://www.board.mr2faq.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=96351[/URL]

what he said

"Well i just got finished completly overhaling my ingition system. Stock cap, rotor, wires and plugs. And the car does pull well but i can still feel the car pull timing. If i stay on the throttle the car begins to detinate. It happens at varying rpm, boost levels, and throttle positions. Here is the post from before of what i could think of and what to try. Going to try to run a compression test in the next couple of days but i need your guys help. What else should i look at?"

those motors are prone to melting the ring glands from excessive heat- hope he didnt keep after it when it was detonating-

stock boost is 8 psi, what was he running???

there are a few MR2 boards out there that have some good tech guys there-

what fuel, what boost-

did he send the computer out to be reprogrammed for different fuel/timing maps?

is it stock or modded?

the fuel filter is located on the drivers side, rear, up and under the car-

easier to do with the car up in the air-

you can get a denso fuel pump from the supra that fits the MR2-- but im sure he will get lots more info from the mr2 board-

does it spit anything out the tailpipe?
