Good news! the car runs and starts. but it runs terribly rich at 40psi rail pressure with the line on...about 45psi line off. the needle was very erratic. oh well...I got that obstacle down. and the car idles really nice. now here's the crappy ass part. the kenne bell chip I had in the car finally crapped out. I put back the stock one and the car idles a little better. I'm still having the stumbling and misfiring and backfiring. the only code I have since starting the car is a 14 *CTS* The car is running pig rich but never came around to lowering fuel pressure. In my experience with my alltrac...the CTS was also controlling the fueling. my scanner was reading 304* on the coolant sensor...but doesnt a lower temp reading make more fuel? and a hotter engine leans out? anyways..more on the temp sensor itself...I came around to it and saw that tat the connectors were brittle when I pulled it out and it broke on the harness side. **any of you guys have a cts connector to spare?** I have a spare cts on the side which I'm gonna get to this weekend. Any more ideas on the stumbling and backfiring?

Right on Chirs....Nice to hear that your car is sort of running...:)
As far as any info about your problem..Can't help too much!
Everything is hooked up right ..
Eg. MAF is installed correctly.. all the connectors are making good contact...
Sorry kinda hard to help over the internet...In person is usually the best troubleshooting....
BTW: My car is running too!:D

Chris,

Try lowering your fuel pressure down to about 40psi (line off), and then check for any exhaust or vacuum leaks. Also, the coolant temp. sensor looks to be giving a false reading.

Therefore while changing the connector, you might want to replace the sensor too. While you're at it, you might want to also check the EGR to make sure that it's functioning properly, by pushing up on the diaphram. HTH

I will back down on the pressure to about 35psi-line on. 40psi-on w/30lb injectors on a stock chip can't be a good combo. :p As far as all the other connections...they're all pluged in. I'll try the EGR test this weekend. and I'll be changing out the CTS. i just need the male connector on on the harness to connect it back. I dunno..i'll prolly rig something temperary till I get find one. I'll be giving John Spina a ring soon. Here, in words is how the car runs. the car idles fine at about 1k-rpm. I get on the gas slowly building engine speed. it starts to cag. and your can hear the intake make this wierd sucking sound then follow through. sometimes while doing that...it backfires. My ears are still rining ;). Also there's this wired bouncing idle between 1500 - 2000 rpm. that only happens AFTER i gas the car and settle it on idle. possibly a bad IAC? Maybe even bad vacuum? I'll be checking more on tuesday.

Did you replace the o-rings on the turbo to intake adapter? I've seen threads in the hot-air section, where this was the culprit.
