This is just a unsolicited plug for Bob Bailey's Extender chip, Translator + and Boost Commander.
After almost wearing out my Eprom burner burning my own chips, and growing weary of testing/burning, testing/burning (Bugging Jim T and Dave) testing/burning...I decided to step up to the Transator+ LT1 MAF, (Mounted in the up- pipe... Thanks Bruce
) "E" chip setup and the Boost Commander.
Due to the nature of my setup, (Hybrid) some minor tweaks were made by Bob to the chip, and I am blown away. The chip is light years away from where I was. (All my BLM cells in DS were so close to 128... that I checked the ribbon cable, thinking that I was having a glitch) Starting, driveability, idle smoothness, gas mileage are all excellent. The in-car on the fly adjustability of the Translator+ is fantastic. Being able to adjust boost (accurately) on the fly... What can I say
Add the Standard features and user-adjustability of the E chip, and I feel like a kid on Christmas morning... Fine Tuning has become a joy.
I don't want to let too much info out, so all I can say for now is that Bob has been putting a lot of time and effort into the latest E chip revision and it rates a "Two Thumbs Up."
Whenever we begin to bitch and moan about the amount of parts available for our cars, remember if it wasn't for guy's like Bob and the time and effort they put into developing these devices, we would still be crushing fuel pressure regulators and using ~!#$*tech chips
