Adjustable actuator rod?

Hey guys, take a look at the rod that came on my car. http://members.cox.net/bishir/rod.jpg

Sorry for the poor quality. However, you can see the rod. It's supposed to be adjustable, but I was wondering how to adjust it. The small nut will travel up and down the rod, but I can't seem to figure out how it actually adjusts. Call me stupid, but this is new to me.

you take the end of the rod off the wastegate and turn the rod to adjust......shorten it and boost goes up and vice versa....put it back on the wastegate after adjusting....use caution....1 or 2 turns max until you are familiar with it

the nut is merely a lock nut.....doesn't adjust anything

Thanks, that makes so much sense now. So, how do I remove the clip off the wastegate?

Use a needle nose to remove the E clip. I personally don't use the original clip since I'll lose it at the track. I use one of those clips that come on the coffee bags. It fits perfectly in the grooves.

I second that. Stock clip is a pain in the ass.

Clips like on the throttle body cable work great too.
