Adjusting TV cable

So it seemed like my trans.
Was starting to see its better day until today! I went in and reset my TV cable and now it hits 2nd hard!! When It was removed from the TB it set back about a 1/2" I had to move it forward that much?
Is this a sign of things to come?

This is the best method of setting up the TV. I used this on my fresh home built 2004r and it shifts perfect. And yes I race it too.
